I've never had a Shamwow so it's hard to tell if it's a real Shamwow or not. That thing is super fluffy. It leaves lint all over it, which means you can't use it to dry your car (one of the uses advertised) unless you want to spend as much time removing the lint as you originally washed the car. This makes the rag practically useless, because what else would you use the suede for if not drying your car? It's also not as big as advertised, with the largest measuring around 22 inches by 18 inches. I think it's just a layer of thick felt. When you buy shampoo, GOOGLE SHAMWOW! THERE IS A REAL SITE AND IT IS $6 CHEAPER THAN AMAZON.
