I wasn't expecting the litany of instructions. There were a bunch. But - once I got it out and charged, and got the labels that came with it set up, and installed the app - it was actually pretty easy.I had been nervous, but it wasn't too bad. The app walks you step by step through each thing to select.Note - the device comes with a small roll of labels. The size isn't marked well - so I used a 12mm x 40mm template on the device, and it worked beautifully.I wasn't sure I would like it as much as I did, but it's cute!Steps:Charge it first.Read the instructions, scan the QR code to get the app.Make sure the device is turned on and your bluetooth is on (for iPhone) or your gps is on (for android).Open the app, and connect the device.Then you use the app to design your labels. They have a 'lite' version which is basically just text, and then a 'creative' version which includes more options for the text, and some icons, emojis, and tiny illustrations.Thing to note - this is black ink. It comes with a set of white labels. In the app it appears you can choose or design colors - but it still only prints in black. The 'colors' of the background probably pertain to buying labels that already have a colored background.
