I thought I was doing a good job for my shrimp and snails and the white stones look so pretty against the dark bottom in the aquarium. I dusted (so much dust!), wet and rinsed the rocks again before adding them to my 42 gallon tank. After 3 days, my water parameters were still far from there. My shrimp died before I caught it and my fish was lethargic and blinking. Removed all but the smallest rocks, did a half water change, used every trick I knew to quickly balance the water levels and everything was back to normal. DO NOT ADD THE ENTIRE POUCH TO THE BAKU. It's a tiny bag, but the high mineral content will ruin everything. Now I'm afraid to put those rocks in my tank!
