Review on WHIRLWIND USA LSS 14 Inch Diamond Saw Blade - Ideal for Effortless Cutting of Concrete, Marble, Granite, Brick, and Masonry! by Chris Edgerton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Dusty job - works well

Note that the center ring is not pressed properly. Upon opening the box, a ring fell out of this 4 inch blade and the 7 inch Whirlwind blade. Easy to fall out but not so easy to put back in. Other than that the blade cuts well and the price is cheap enough to buy two just in case. I used the blades to cut through the concrete floor for a bathroom drain. The 7" blade on my circular saw cut some good lines a little over 2" deep, then I used a jackhammer to break up the concrete between cuts. In hindsight, I wish I had used a 10 inch blade since the concrete floor was 3 1/2 inches thick. Suggest using water when cutting to keep dust away and cool the blade. At first I didn't use water because I figured my vacuum could handle the dust. I was wrong. a cloud of dust covered everything, clogging the workshop vacuum filter and my dust mask. I also managed to bend the first blade when it got too hot during use, without water, on long, continuous cuts.
