Why grade 1? Continue reading.

I bought this drive because my previous Bosch version couldn't keep up. This blade is advertised with a 5/8 inch mandrel. Big chance. When it didn't fit my saw mandrel I had to take a 5/8" bit and try to thread it through the 5/8" blade hole. I then had to drill out the pressed-in 5/8" adapter with a drill - at least 32" of material was removed. It was a real PITA and well worth my time (1.5 hours) and the cost of that 5/8" drill bit. Once installed it worked with no hesitation, wobble or…

Ideal for cutting concrete blocks!

I wasn't sure how it would work cutting 12" x 12" x 1.5" concrete paving. I created a triangular patio. I used an old 12" miter saw and cut the cobblestones dry. I cut 30 pavers and the disc was just as effective on the last pavers as it was on the first. Since it was not a wet saw, there was a huge amount of dust. I positioned the saw away from the house and cut so the wind would blow the dust away from me. I used an N95 mask, goggles and headphones. I also used a belt sander to smooth the cut

Dusty job - works well

Note that the center ring is not pressed properly. Upon opening the box, a ring fell out of this 4 inch blade and the 7 inch Whirlwind blade. Easy to fall out but not so easy to put back in. Other than that the blade cuts well and the price is cheap enough to buy two just in case. I used the blades to cut through the concrete floor for a bathroom drain. The 7" blade on my circular saw cut some good lines a little over 2" deep, then I used a jackhammer to break up the concrete between cuts. In…

Exactly what I needed.

The only way to improve this workhorse is to dust it off. I'm adding a bathroom to an existing room so I have to cut 37 year old concrete for the plumbing. I started with diamond blades on my 7-1/4" circular saw but they didn't cut deep enough so I ordered this blade for a borrowed saw. I finished. I cut about forty feet total and there is no obvious wear or tear Damage to the blade. I did this for two days, for a total of about 4 hours or so. The second day I had a container of water and a cup

Fast, strong blade for saw blades, parts and accessories

I have a 13 amp 4-1/2" Bosch grinder that I removed the guard from. I wanted to try a thinner 5" blade to cut a little faster while still trying, about 3/4 of the way. before inserting a 4" chisel into the cut and tapping it with a hammer to get a clean break. Well, to my great surprise, I found that there were quite a few plates in the same time as completely severing 3/4 of a pass with a thicker blade It also facilitates round cuts I cut and laid 220 sq feet into a circular area built in 8…

Cut quickly and cleanly with this blade that doesn't vibrate!

I only had experience with "abrasive" block cutting blades before purchasing these. The project was to build a brick hearth for our wood stove that included 48 cuts at 22.5 degrees plus another 60+ at 90 degrees. I had no idea how good this blade was; Every cut was straight, nice and smooth, and like I said, vibration-free. The lack of vibration allowed me to make very precise cuts and fits. I used a Makita 12" cut-off saw. I was concerned about rock dust getting into the engine. This saw, and…

Light to moderate use, but still got a heavy job done

I had to remove the old grille insert and install a new one, but the cutout was 2" wide different. So I bought this blade to cut through the rock to make room for the new grill liner. Now I have given 4 stars because although it technically worked, the blade is now unusable and can no longer be used. Maybe it was my fault as the description says they are light to medium. I guess it was hard work. The stone I had to cut was 3 inches thick (sandstone) and I had to cut 2 lines of 2 feet each. The…
