I only had experience with "abrasive" block cutting blades before purchasing these. The project was to build a brick hearth for our wood stove that included 48 cuts at 22.5 degrees plus another 60+ at 90 degrees. I had no idea how good this blade was; Every cut was straight, nice and smooth, and like I said, vibration-free. The lack of vibration allowed me to make very precise cuts and fits. I used a Makita 12" cut-off saw. I was concerned about rock dust getting into the engine. This saw, and probably most of them, was designed to minimize dust getting into the engine. I used a dust bag and blew shut off the engine once about halfway through and at the end of the project little dust and no problems then and not for almost a year with my saw this is the only blade I have used of this type and I can use it highly recommend.I thought the price was fair when I first bought it but thought I might need to buy a second one to complete my project but it ends up performing just as well as it did when I started.I expect that I can do another similar project and that The blade still cuts satisfactorily.
