These coiled cables are ideal for in-car use. I use mine in my car and the cord stretches when I lift the phone to my head and then contracts when I put it down. No loose cord to worry about. The coils are quite tight and I had to stretch the cord so I didn't have to bend down when holding the phone to my head. I was surprised to notice that the cable had shrunk back to its original size. Not sure if it's intentional or just because it's new. The description says it will stretch 6 feet. Maybe, but it took me a few meters. I think the USB plugs will come out of their sockets if you stretch them out more than 3 feet. Great cable! Perfect for my needs.
