I have an N+ router so I thought this would give me the most bandwidth and range. The software didn't work at all on my Vista machine and on my XP machine it worked but didn't connect automatically (I think it was the wireless network manager I have on my ThinkPad). I ran some tests with this device on my XP machine and got a download speed of 20Mbps. Not too bad (but almost like my built in g-wireless gave me 18Mbps). So for comparison, I plugged in my Linksys Wireless-N Dual Band Gaming Adapter, an N-series wireless device connected to an Ethernet port, and the download speeds are even faster at 24Mbps! (did these tests multiple times to ensure they were consistent). I'm not sure if this device doesn't work as well as the "Linksys Wireless-N Dual Band Game Adapter" since it's USB and possibly USB is the bottleneck.
