The software didn't work at all on my Vista machine and on my XP machine it worked but didn't connect automatically (I think it was the wireless network manager I have on my ThinkPad). I bought this for my Windows 7 desktop PC I'm tired of running the cable from my bedroom router to my living room PC. I have a Linksys e3000 router, which is a premium router.
