Review on MikroTik FiberBox Outdoor Router Ports by Ben Diesel

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Low bandwidth is good for routers

I have a 1GIG fiber internet connection connected to Mikrotik Fiberbox. When connected to any of the SFP ports, I only get 140MB of bandwidth. I connect my internet channel directly to the computer and get 980 MB. This is the case when Fiberbox is running in bridge mode. If I try this in router mode, I only get 30MB. I think it's a nice little setup and would be perfect for my needs, but I can't sacrifice that loss of speed.

Pros
  • The kit also includes an RJ45 SFP copper module (S-RJ01) already preinstalled in the first port, so you can start using Ethernet in one of the ports right away.
