READ, Gang! If you want the stuffing tube to work (I did) you need to carefully poke a thin piece of plastic into the stuffing tube. It's about 3/4 inch inside. It's easy to drill, just don't overdo it and hammer the drill bit inside. I used a 1/8" drill bit. See attached image. I'm confused as to why the passage is such a gimmick, but I think the logic is that this block is meant to replace many models with different features. Thanks to fellow reviewers and Q&A contributors. It's the manufacturer's delay in not stating this in the manual -- should be littered with supposedly defective units due to this one oversight. Idiots, clearly made with Fluidmaster molds. The unit is fine though. It works well and is very easy to install.
