Impressive performance for a small drill and cheap! (You can get two of these for the price of most drills.) And it's the only cheap drill I've found that has a variable speed, which is very useful when drilling starting holes etc. Two minor downsides: a collet (a dial with settings from 1 to 10 for maximum strength) is pretty much useless: even at 10 it knocks out before setting the screw into anything other than softwood. This can be avoided by not using a collet (ie setting it to the "screw" position on the dial), but it does mean that you can sometimes over-tighten the screw if you're not careful. The cartridge also arrived in a very stiff state: at first I couldn't move it at all, even using rubber openers to grab it. I finally got it to move by setting the dial to the "screw" position and using the drill itself to unscrew it. After initial loosening, the collet is now in perfect condition. I bought a set of these to finally stop switching between drill bits and screwdriver bits. In general I am very happy with them, especially with the price.
