I don't know if I would have bought this for a shop if I was doing this type of work all the time. But for the time I ever needed it, it worked great. I bought a project truck; '03 F-350 7.3L Diesel. The steering pump was junk. This tool is required to replace the power steering pump. It is impossible to pull the pump out of the bracket without removing the pulley. Of course if you bought a new pulley you can cut the old one off to remove the pump and then put the new pulley on the new pump. But this tool also installed the pulley. I think you could use some screws to hold the pulley in place. But hey, use this tool instead.
