Perfect replacement. I have an 8" x 7.25" Panamex PA50V exhaust fan in my bathroom. After 13 years he finally died. I ordered the same Panamex model for another bathroom, thinking it would be a direct replacement, but the dimensions changed and I had to go to the attic, rip out the old model and fit the new one. Unpleasant work at heights in summer. When my second bathroom fan died, I wanted to avoid all of that. I found this NuTone model and it's a direct replacement. Even the cutout for the AC plug is in the same place. The design of the fan blades is slightly different, but the device has a large volume and is surprisingly quieter than the original.
