It appears very dark from beyond 45 degrees if you're parallel with the monitor. It's more glossy than my monitor for sure. You also have to sit at least a couple of feet from your monitor or it will have a dark shadow on either side of the monitor. It's very clear from straight on, if you're far enough away from it. It fit my monitor great but the instructions on the packaging don't match the product. It's similar to a phone where you wipe the monitor with alcohol then peel and stick it to the monitor.
