Looks like 58 at first glance. Still looks like 58 on closer inspection. And for most practical situations (like live singing in a garage or bar) No one will ever be able to tell that you're using 48 instead of 58 (including most audio engineers). However, your wallet will notice a big difference; more than half the price difference. Shure makes great microphones, even the cheapest. Highly recommended.
