We had a $200 water cooler in our house for several months, but our son took it with him. I didn't want to spend $200 to buy it so I checked out the options on Revain and found this article. I was very skeptical but the reviews were good. We bought 3. one for storage and two for Christmas gifts. We live in an area where tap water is almost undrinkable. Local grocery stores have entire islands for bottled water, but it's expensive and bottles create too much plastic waste. In my opinion, this water pump is great. First, you don't have to deal with HEAVY 5 gallon water bottles. Flip them over and lift them up to fit the water cooler. It is much easier. It's an electric pump. The plastic tube is lowered into the water jug and the pump snaps onto the top of the jug. You press the on/off button and water flows out of the spout. Press again and the water will stop. I thought the setup might be prone to water continuing to drip after you hit the shutoff button, but that's not the case. This pump will work with all 5 gallon and 2.5 gallon jugs and most likely any jug that has a spout large enough for the pump to sit on. Rarely does something so cheap work better than expected. I am impressed.
