I needed a 3 wire connector as well as a 4 wire connector for some of my solar yard lights where I replace broken parts. The four wires I bought worked for both applications, only the fourth wire was not used on three wire devices. The waterproof connections were a clear plus, so that silicone could be dispensed with as a precaution. Lots of wire to make a minimal solder joint.
