I was struggling to find the right things. The tires on my child's bike were flat. The inner tubes themselves were still in good condition. Then the valves must have been the second culprit. These were Dunlop (or Woods) valves with valves to which were attached tiny pieces of rubber tubing called mushi-gomu in Japanese, literally meaning "earthworm rubber". This created a problem as they could no longer close the holes in the valve and air leaked out. The small parts were fairly simple in shape, cost next to nothing, and seemed easy to replace. However, I could not find a seller who dealt with this material. I soon found out that the reason for this was the lack of margin. Since these types of valves were not popular in the US, finding a bike shop that stocked them was not easy. Then I found out that there are replacements for this type of valve that don't require tiny rubber hoses. Then I came across this product again. I previously skipped this product because it didn't come with rubber hoses. Although the description was brief and only stated that it was a replacement, I decided to give it a try. Then bingo. It worked! If you are looking for a replacement because of a broken tiny rubber valve hose these are the ones. You don't need a hard-to-reach mushi-gomu for the valve to work. The exchange is pretty easy.
