I bought four of these to mount on a light bar in the center of the room. I was looking for good even lighting both up and down to provide both direct and indirect light. I am very happy with the results of these wall lamps (although they are clearly designed to be wall mounted). A few notes: As you can see from the picture, we found that direct light with a 60W LED, which is room temperature, created too much glare. To fix this I taped rice paper to the bottom and then trimmed it to fit. I also added a dimmer to the circuit. The result is much more attractive. Second, there are small assembly problems. The plaster has slight variations (for obvious reasons) and here and there the attachment was a bit tight over the metal backplates. You should know that the lamp is an unfinished stucco - nice and smooth and attractive, but without any surface treatment. This raises some concerns about the light's cleanability - I wouldn't recommend this light for rooms where it might be exposed to greasy fumes or other sticky airborne particles (e.g. a kitchen) unless you plan to seal their surface. As this is an unfinished stucco this would make a great base for an art project.
