I needed some small vents to get air into the closed closet where my PC and router sit on my desk. The desktop cabinet was ventilated by the manufacturer, but not adequately. The temperature in the closet was consistently in the 90 degree range and that would likely break my computer or router or both. I used four of these vents by drilling 2" holes in the underside of the table with a hole saw. Computer tower and installed in the back of the cabinet. The inside of the cabinet now stays at room temperature. I found that the hole that I drilled with my 2" hole saw wasn't big enough for these vents, but better too tight than too loose. I had to hit her with a hammer. Instead, I used a razor blade to snip a small strip off the pair of tabs holding the vent in place. I still have a snug fit and if I ever have to take them off to clean I won't damage the table by pulling them out.
