Firstly, it comes with several nozzles for faucets of different sizes. We found the perfect solution for our kitchen sink. I was skeptical because I had tried the Aqueon water changer once and it was extremely pressure based and so difficult to get working. Finally, I only used buckets for years, but decided to look for a better water changing system when I switched to my 50 gallon tank. Easy to turn on and use. I was amazed at how easy it was to completely fill my tank. Remember that it takes about 20-30 minutes to fill a 50 gallon tank. Smaller tanks take even less time. Less mess! No leaks! No buckets! I soaked my sand for a few days after cleaning it to make it stick together and harder to break. I used this water changer to add water after adding sand. I bounced the water off the paper plate so it didn't hit the sand directly. My pool is CLEAN! Minimal sand breakage. Costs money? In any case! I mean look at the photo. Crystal clear! Instead of lugging around buckets afraid of wasting money, try this water changer.
