Review on 🚰 Delta Faucet Essa Touch Kitchen Faucet in Brushed Nickel with Pull Down Sprayer and Touch2O Technology, Arctic Stainless Finish 9113T-AR-DST by Matthew Carr

Bought this faucet for my kitchen in April. There was an issue with the Touch20 mechanism that caused the faucet to not work properly. Delta sent a new one with the same identical results. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Basically it doesn't work. The plumber removed it so the faucet could be used. Last week when a new solenoid valve was installed, same result. The call to Delta resulted in the following: 1- There should be no cables near the cables of this system. Truth? The batteries that power the system are less than 1/4 inch from the connector. Cables are so thin and cheap that they have virtually no insulation, making crosstalk almost inevitable. Using good quality wires will prevent this problem. 2- The wires must not cross the path of the solenoid wires. The same as above. 3- The connection to the tap must be absolutely perfect. Deviate slightly and it will not work. again, right? The connector is an inexpensive compression ring that connects to the faucet. 4- If the faucet is not properly isolated from the sink, it can cause a short circuit in the system. What if it's a composite sink? There shouldn't be any grounding problems. 5- Finally, they need photos of the installation so they can even consider replacing the faucet under the "lifetime warranty”. Well, that's all about the Delta Guarantee. The bottom line is that while the faucet is good, the Touch20 system and technology is the worst. Delta knows it too and they just don't care. So far I've spent more money on plumbers (2 different ones) than a faucet costs. So I'm posting this to let others know about the dangers of this faucet. Stay away! Buy another brand. Luckily I bought the faucet with an American Express card that gives me a full refund. However, I will post this review on Delta's social media pages. A class action lawsuit may be filed against this product.
