This is functionally adequate, and It is nice to have two 12V leads. But beyond that, the quality of the electronics and design could stand improvement.I have three of these and each has a slightly different electrical issue. Two are inside my garage. The first one has a faint, continuous chirp (likely caused by a low-end transformer inside). The second one has a ground loop isolation problem. I have a Sony subwoofer on the same circuit as that one, and as soon as this unit is turned on, the subwoofer hums. Using a ground loop filtered plug on that circuit solved this - but those cost $70 and up. The third one has a faint buzz - but it is outside the house so it doesn't bother me.In sum, except for outdoor use, I would not recommend these, particularly on parts of the home circuit where there are other coiled or electro-magnetic products plugged in.
