Hanging hardware problem

The instructions for hanging hardware say to put the wire holders below the points so they won't slide up if the picture is hung vertically. BUT the points on the vertical sides of the frame are not symmetrical. That seems dumb to me. That's the only reason I won't award 5 points. I would love to hear from the manufacturers why the directions are wrong since the illustrations show the wire holders with the frame hanging vertically.
