That's a good idea, but it doesn't last very long. Received and assembled today. Fast shipping and arrived safely. The assembly requires some patience. Installing pins can be tricky as they don't always fit exactly and this causes the pin to move when there is thread on it. Also, the classic Madeira N40 thread, 1100 yards, does NOT run the full length of the tine and sits quite precariously on it. Smaller thread spools with small holes (e.g. 250 yards) are also not suitable. And the only way to number the thread in the order it's used is to use a sticky label first and number each pin in number order: 1,2,3, etc. Update: throw it away . I bought it to organize thread colors for designs with multiple thread color changes. Because the coils don't run the full length of the tine, they tip over and fall everywhere. Pins loosen where they didn't fit properly. waste of money.
