I was looking for a 35w G8 base lamp for under cabinet lighting. I could only find 20w G8 base bulbs - in a home store and at Revain - then I stumbled across these. This is a 35W G8.6 and I ordered it to see if it would fit my G8 plug and it does. You just have to line it up and use a little more force to push it into the slot. It works and hasn't worked for me for the past two months. I returned to order more. Bonus tip: They tend to blow faster if you hold them "directly" with your fingers. The reason for this is that the "oil" on your skin causes those bulbs to get extra hot and burn out quicker than they should. When replacing these bulbs, avoid skin contact with the surface of the bulb, use tissue paper or gloves to handle the new bulbs.
