Review on 🏕️ Enhanced White Pioneer Crank-Out RV Awning Upgrade Endcap Kit - Carefree 850001 by Frank Garahana

Update 7/28/14: I downgraded my rating from 5 to 4 after using it a few times. I had a very hard time getting my hands to form a line when closing the canopy. I think the front end cap may be wider than stock causing misalignment. Looks like I'll have to go to the roof and see if I can increase the distance between the two canopy mounting brackets. --------------------------------------------------------------- - ------------ -- As others have reported, one of my awning springs broke. I found that out, of course, after unrolling the tent while camping and then having to climb onto the roof to manually unroll it again. I'm glad I no longer have to deal with the spring problem. Installing this kit took about 30 minutes and was very easy. Schedule an hour (watch video, think, review steps, clean up). As previously mentioned, an end cap has 3 screws instead of the original 2. But that's not a problem, as the kit includes self-tapping screws that are simply screwed into the aluminum tube of the reel. Tools needed: A small Allen key to act as a cotter pin. , electric drill with Philips and square screwdriver.
