The camera was put to the test in the ocean and passed with flying colors, although the underwater footage is just so-so. It's not a terrible camera, and you can overlook its flaws if you buy it for $200. I have not second-guessed my decision to purchase this make and model so far. Pros: It takes decent video footage (full hd). The soap dish image is quite standard, however more detail would be nice. Underwater, there are a number of viable options for utilization. Turns on promptly. The camera is small and easy to handle. The availability of a stabilizer and 5X optical zoom has been quite welcome. Among other drawbacks, the screen easily collects fingerprints. Unlike a rubberized case, scratches are likely to be avoided by the price tag. I'd prefer a finger-typing battery over yours. Concentration wanders off and takes a while to find again. There's no easy way to access the video recording button. You can't make a movie with only 25 frames per second.
