Satisfies my needs but hasn't reduced slippage

So the parts that were on the tips of my stems started to deteriorate (they are less than 9 months old). I made them cover the bare wires of my stems. They fit pretty well. However, they are ineffective in reducing slip. They glide even worse than the ones that come with the goggles. Let's see how well they hold up.
