The cutter is very easy to use. I love the fact that when it's not locked in the open position, it automatically closes the blade when I let go of the handle. The blade can be locked open or closed when not in use. It is easy to unlock, so as a precaution, the cutter should be kept out of the reach of children. I like the feel of the grip. From what I understand the blade can be placed on the other side to make it more comfortable for the left hand.
