Looking at the photos of the product, it seems that the photographer had no idea what these devices were used for. With this particular model, one gets the impression that the manufacturer might not know either. I had low expectations for the $15 bracket since I only need to install a couple of drawer and cabinet handles, but this thing is so wobbly and imprecise that I ended up hand-drilling instead. The slide rail bushings do not fit the main shaft at all. I have to touch them with my palm to put them on. A snug fit would be fine if they stayed in place, but the thumbscrews don't really keep them there. It's an odd design - it looks like there's a clear plastic or rubber insert between the thumbscrew and the shaft, but the thumbscrews don't put any pressure on it to create friction. In other words, they slide quite easily, which is rather counterproductive. If you're not interested in precision and are looking for a tool to throw away after each job, this might be for you. Otherwise I would look elsewhere.
