Review on πŸ’ͺ Stadea 5" Rubber Backer Pad with Hook and Loop Arbor 5/8" 11" – Premium Rubber Backing For a Strong Grip by Chris Long

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Suitable for my modified use

I was looking for a quick way to remove paint from old battens. So I came up with a system that works well for me. I bought a Makita 5" variable speed angle grinder that had this rubber pad bolted on. I then bought 50 packs of 80 grit 5 hole loop sanding pads. Rubber that lined up with the sanding discs and a modified " had a dust-free" backing. In addition to this backing, I also mounted a dust-free dust cover on my coffee grinder that connected to my HEPA vacuum. Remove paint in a hurry, almost too quickly if you're inattentive (one of the reasons why I have a variable speed sander). If you plan on removing a lot of paint you might also consider Paint Shaver Pro, I use Paint Shaver Pro for my first pass, then scrape away what's left and finish the surface with that smooth adjustment. I've found velcro sanding discs to be a lot cheaper than so-called finder discs for your coffee grinder. Just be careful not removing too much material, and know that a variable speed grinder is the best method to use this setup.
