These bulbs not only significantly improve the illumination of the license plate, but also the rear of the vehicle. This setup was on a 2017 2500 Ram, if you have a hitch receiver and your spare tire in place, it's a mistake to remove the retainer and a double mistake to replace, REMOVE YOUR SPARE WHEEL! This at least lets you see the position of the clip in the light and where it should go. Otherwise you have a guess as to where it should be and if you break the retaining tab you're done, except they're not bad Durability Not sure yet, just installing them, my buddy has been using them for about a month and they still work fine.
