Ours is best painted white in Close To Ceiling Lights
I hand painted the raw beads white with Linen Chalk paint to give them a farmhouse look to complement our decor. We like how it turned out. We first installed it with Edison bulbs but they weren't bright enough for our liking so we replaced them with regular chandeliers and it's perfect.
