I've been using the E3D Coated Copper Heater Block on my PRUSA MK2.5S for a while and have come to a few conclusions. The copper heating block does not appear to be working. severely affect the printer's operation at the temperatures I use it in, but it makes the printer easier to maintain. The inevitable molten plastic residue is much easier to clean from galvanized copper than from pure aluminum. Heater cartridge failed. The clamp screw holding the heater is still unscrewed without removing it like the one in the aluminum block. With the screw pulled out, the copper block, in contrast to the aluminum block, easily released the heater again. In short, a copper clad heater block is mechanically much more pleasant to work with than standard aluminum. The only possible downside I can think of is that it's slightly heavier than the aluminum block and the weight is at the other end of the rather long hot end, quite a distance from the attachment point. This can result in different, possibly worse, printing performance. As long as your mount is strong enough and the hotend carriage (usually an X-carriage) and transport mechanism are strong enough, the extra weight won't matter.
