Made of plastic. The rod that goes in the middle is plastic. I'm careful with it and I'm the only one who has used it. What could cause it to break at the very top I don't understand. I've tried gluing it back but I don't think it will hold up in the hotter months. This product is really crappy and cheap. I wish I could get my money back.
