Review on πŸ’» Kingwin SSD/SATA to IDE Bridge Adapter Board - Effortlessly Convert SATA Devices to IDE | Supports 2.5 Inch, 3.5 Inch HDD | Compatible with SATA I/II/III Hard Drives by Oscar Berry

I wish they had fixed that by now. (Do not buy)

Basically I bought this to use my PS2 with a smaller (laptop sized) hard drive. Of course, for full-size drives, the adapter has to be oversized, but a laptop drive should work, right? The connections are shorted with solder and the capacitors look broken! Good thing this adapter doesn't fit my PS2! The adapter installs upside down so it won't fit even with a very small drive. So even if I could get it to work, it would most likely fry my PS2, hard drive, adapter, or all three! I saw some other people mention shorted connectors in the review, but the post was a few years old. I thought if I bought sold/shipped through Amazon I'd have a better chance of getting a good one in the first place right? Not correct. Check out the official Revain product image, it shows shorted pins. XD Then compare this to any adapter that costs over $15 (HUGE difference).

Pros
  • hands-free mode
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
