simple and effective. costs money. Quick upgrade for an old computer.

I had multiple SATA hard drives. wanted to upgrade 2 old P4 computers with a SATA SSD hard drive and then install Linux. Previously I tried to use a GODSHARK (SIL 3114) 4 port RAID SATA PCI card, it didn't work with an ADATA SSD but worked fine with a regular SATA HDD. Tried this adapter and it works with ADATA SSDs and regular SATA 5400/7200 HDDs. I placed the SSD in the ORICO 2.5 SSD SATA to 3.5 Hard Drive Adapter Internal Drive Bay Converter to fit in the hard drive bay in the case where the

I wish they had fixed that by now. (Do not buy)

Basically I bought this to use my PS2 with a smaller (laptop sized) hard drive. Of course, for full-size drives, the adapter has to be oversized, but a laptop drive should work, right? The connections are shorted with solder and the capacitors look broken! Good thing this adapter doesn't fit my PS2! The adapter installs upside down so it won't fit even with a very small drive. So even if I could get it to work, it would most likely fry my PS2, hard drive, adapter, or all three! I saw some other

Not ideal for Xbox softmod.

Item works great as described. However, it's not the best choice for Xbox if you don't have a TSOP or modchip. If this is a soft mod then trying to configure it is a nightmare. This is easier with an adapter that has a master/slave jumper selection. I regret taking advice from the reviews before doing my own research.

Master/Slave/Cable Select modes do not exist

I had some problems trying to slave the drive with the adapter. Here is my fascinating journey with their customer service. Me: I recently purchased a Revain Kingwin SSD Adapter /SATA to IDE Bridge Board. I was hoping you could tell me how to change IDE mode between master/slave/cable? Apparently there is no jumper. Her: Can I get the model number, thanks. Me: Model number: ADP-06You: This product does not include a jumper for your hard drive. Here's something you might want to check…

Works with OG XBOX and SSD!

Nice unit with small form factor and compact components. Comes with adhesive tape for a stronger connection to larger hard drives. Ideal for small cases. I used it in my OG XboX along with a 480GB Kingston SSD. This eliminated the spinning noise of the hard drive and made the device a little lighter and more reliable. The seek time in XBMC is very fast. IGR works like a charm with no problems. Due to the DVD drive check, the boot time is around 30 seconds, which is close but worth it. Uses…

Only works for 1 device!

Arrived safely and ahead of time. Installation was easy. Directions were easy to follow. Unfortunately, the developers should have known better that the IDE bus requires component identification, so this device is only good for one component! It cannot handle 2 or more components on the same bus! This was neither advertised nor documented. I've been misled Two such devices connected in series will not work. There is no bus ID jumper for IDE! The main disadvantage.

  • Worth the money

  • No form required

No Master/Follower select jumper

Works for datacoms but is not available with MASTER/SLAVE option. Which can be annoying. The bridge makes ALL hard drives the MASTER drive. It would be nice to have when using new hard drives on older PCs. Jumper is used for Daya stream (Jumper 1 = IDE to SATA / Jumper 2 Sata -> IDE

This adapter is just great for converting a SATA drive to an IDE connection and by making it the master drive in the chain you can connect another set of drives as slaves. But the real problem is using this adapter to connect a new hard drive to an original Xbox. Due to the way home-made cloning software (Chimp) works, you cannot use a standard hard drive as a "slave" which means there is no way to resolve the conflict if you want to clone your hard drive. So I had to try using a cryptic…
