This is not unique to these booties. No one has invented a way for these booties to stay on. I very securely and snuggly fastened them on, already aware of this problem. None the less, within 10 minutes of our walk in the snow, a bootie was completely lost and within 15-20 minutes every bootie had come off. I cant even return the failed item because I do not have all 4 to return. The bright orange color was certainly helpful with finding 3 of the 4 booties.That said, these booties seem very well made and if you are not hiking in the snow, I would rate them higher. We have a highly active border collie whose excitement and jumping certainly contributed to the loss of the dog shoes. I suppose that a less active dog might have more success with these shoes.
