UPDATE 07/08/19 I am very pleased to report that the seller has contacted me to resolve the issue. They sent me new 1ft cables. Yes they are shorter but they work and I am 100% satisfied with the fast response and very fast resolution. I would buy from them again knowing that if there were any defects in the product the seller would work to fix them. Please note that the new cables I received have a very nice red fabric sheathing instead of plastic like the others, but honestly I like that the fabric looks better. Old review below: I am writing this review as a warning to other buyers. I bought this cable to use in a 2019 VW Beetle with Apple CarPlay. This isn't working properly. The car does not recognize the phone to start CarPlay. He charges the phone, but that's all. Nothing beyond that. Switched to the regular Apple cable and all is well. So, as far as I can tell, it's not the phone or the car that's to blame. The rest of the cable looks fine. I can use it on a computer for example. So I'm giving 3 stars because it works for other purposes or if you just want to charge your phone but be careful if you plug it into a VW or other car to access Apple CarPlay it won't work for that. .
