Bought an ultra saw for DIY underbody replacement and was very impressed with the saw's capabilities. The blades are not very good. Yes, it's a wooden blade, and yes, I knew there were metal clasps in the old works, but some of those were just unavoidable. The slightest contact with a nail or staple reduces cutting performance, so this was a quick lesson. While I had the opportunity to break through with the 30-year-old SawCat, I ended up with the Ultra. Look for alternative cutting blades in hopes of finding something more durable. They're only good for wood.
