Does what it should.

There are better ways to cut notches in tiles, but if you just need to cut a few tiles like I do, this is a good alternative to buying a dedicated tile cutter. I used a dampened sponge to squeeze some water onto the work piece as I cut to keep the blade cool. I don't know, it was absolutely necessary, but it seemed like a good idea.

did the job I needed

I used this to cut about a four foot length of floor tile that was laid on a cement basement floor a few years ago. it did the job well enough. does not require water, which simplifies the task. I just ran the vacuum cleaner hose next to the saw to try and catch the mess as much as possible. it does not look worn or damaged after this use.

So far I have only used one blade for cutting tiles.

. and it cut through the installed 5/16 inch porcelain floor tiles like butter. It was necessary to cut a hole for the vent pipe through the laid tile and managed to cut a nice straight line. A few sparks; Move slowly and let the blade make the cut. No visible wear on the diamonds. I need to cut a tile that is still in place where it is visible and am not worried about how it will look now. Good quality that will hold up to many cuts.

This thing cuts ceramic tile like butter.

This thing cuts ceramic tiles like butter. I literally bought a Dremel cutting tool and this blade to cut 1 tile for a new floor vent and it was worth it! If you are cutting an already installed tile, cut out the outline, then cut off the middle of the part to be removed and pry off one side with the part to be removed (possibly with a screwdriver) to leave the existing tiles intact. good figure.

  • Few competitors
Cons
  • No performance

For hand and power tools, eternal life

I rarely write reviews, but I have to share for those looking for tile cutting tools. I bought an ultra saw and 3 of these diamond cutters to tile the wall behind our fireplace; These are stone heavy tiles. I bought 3 because I had experience with other cutters that didn't last long. Well I returned two because I probably cut 30 tiles with one and this thing doesn't seem to be slowing down. Also cuts pretty fast. I will never rent a wet saw again. This tool is perfect!

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Working properly

Bought an ultra saw for DIY underbody replacement and was very impressed with the saw's capabilities. The blades are not very good. Yes, it's a wooden blade, and yes, I knew there were metal clasps in the old works, but some of those were just unavoidable. The slightest contact with a nail or staple reduces cutting performance, so this was a quick lesson. While I had the opportunity to break through with the 30-year-old SawCat, I ended up with the Ultra. Look for alternative cutting blades in…

Sturdy blade in cutting wheels

I have mixed feelings about the Dremel Ultrasaw. It was good for flush cutting under rocker panels, but that's about it. It annoys me a little that the size of the blade is so unusual that there aren't alternative blade sources. However, I had to cut about 50 porcelain tiles for a backsplash project. With a jig and a water grease gun, this blade has overcome them all and is ready for more. He also proved capable of cutting square holes for sockets. Couldn't be happier and the blade seems a bit…

Pros

Really good rotary power tool blades Parts and Accessories

So I bought these blades because there were a lot of them. I really needed a metal cutting blade for a project I have. I had to cut 1/8" thick aluminum and make 3 smaller cuts. Well I took these blades and put one on my Drexel grinder. The blade worked fine. I made a template to allow the grinder to run smoothly across the top of the aluminum. The blade cut through the aluminum very well with no problems. The edge it left was good, only needed 80 grit sandpaper to get rid of the tiny bit of…
