And a cool feature is the ability to remove another pin on the underside and fold the strut down from the back of your car so you can open the tailgate and access your car's interior. But that's only about a quarter. And I have a Jeep Wrangler whose tailgate swings out to the side instead of opening like many SUVs. It would have been nice to know this before buying. Because of this, I can't open the tailgate without removing the entire heavy brace that is bolted on, which requires pliers to remove. In fact, this thing is difficult to remove once it's put on. If you have a traditional liftgate that opens then this probably won't be a big problem for you. Oh and another issue I had was that a set of screws was missing so I was only able to fit 3 of the 4 bike holders. to the frame. Overall I think this thing will last a very long time as it's very well made and if I can find someone with a metal cutter I can probably set this thing up to fold over a quarter of the way down around my gate to get. open! Oh, and one last thing, if you own a Wrangler and are still planning on buying one, you're better off not buying tires larger than the stock Sahara tires.
