I've had my boots for 3 weeks now. I was a little worried about how they would perform in deep powder over a longer period of time. Last Saturday I ran 2 miles in 8 inches of snow. An hour passed and it started to rain a little. My feet were nice and dry the whole time. It felt like I was walking in comfortable warm slippers! The fact that they look great is an added bonus. I was worried that they would slip a lot when slipping over the boot but that wasn't a problem. I usually wear a 9 and bought 10 as a lot of people say they run small. That was great advice as mine was perfect for me. I love these boots and hope they last a long time because they are so comfortable and warm. Also regarding the height of the boots and winter pants, my winter pants fit perfectly over my boots so although these boots look great they can be used as versatile casual boots. A month after buying the boots, I went for a walk and it was raining heavily. I stepped in a large puddle and my socks got wet. So these boots are waterproof but not waterproof. Still a very good boot. Remember these are not galoshes.
