Great solution for retrofitting side wall sockets. I was afraid of the "old way" of cutting siding and trying to make it look good. Everything you need is there, except for the socket. I bought some silicone sealant to cover it but ended up using the putty that came with the kit. It puts a lot of pressure on. I painted mine and it worked great. One of the multiple questions asked on Amazon was about removing the lid - I was one of them. I emailed the manufacturer and they said to "carefully pry the ears over the tongues". It worked! It was a little annoying because I was afraid of breaking them. I saw that there would be LOTS more problems with the cover.
