I didn't think it was possible to get rid of musty, smoky smells. Luckily I was wrong! My son recently rented an apartment in a non-smoking house. When we were shown the apartment it was freshly painted and the windows were open so there was no noticeable smell. As the paint dried and the room began to heat up, there was a strong smell of smoke. It was extremely uncomfortable, especially for someone who doesn't smoke and has asthma. We professionally cleaned the carpets TWICE, sanitized all surfaces and used two high power air purifiers for a week. It didn't work and we didn't know how he could live there. I was desperate for help when I decided to contact a professional smoke evacuation service. They are capable of removing smoke odors from a home after a fire (and musty, moldy smells after a flood). When I asked how they did it, they told me about the ozone generators they used. I didn't even know such devices existed. I started researching ozone, how it works and decided to find a device to buy. We didn't get a chance to leave the apartment for the night so we set the block on with a timer which we turned off an hour and a half before start. He returned home. We used it for 6 hours for 2 consecutive days and the smell has COMPLETELY GONE! Only a fresh smell remained, and the air really got lighter and cleaner. I couldn't be more excited about the results. The customer service team is also amazing, very responsive, very polite and helpful. My first block didn't seem to work and I called for help. They tried to help me fix the issues but unfortunately my first device may have failed. They replaced this device with another one and I received the new device a few days later with a pre-paid return label to send the other device back. I tried the new block and it worked like clockwork. I read a few reviews complaining about the odor produced by the ozone generator. When the device is switched on and shortly after use, there is a very strong odor of ozone, but the smell dissipates quickly. Although I wouldn't say it's an unpleasant smell. Smells like during a thunderstorm or right before the rain. To me it smells like very fresh air. They will give you safety instructions but you should be aware that this can only be used in an unoccupied space. And if you have pets, be sure to take them with you when you start the engine. If you are looking for an effective odor eliminator, I highly recommend this product.
