Some people here have no idea what they are doing, they are not impressed with the result, they are actually abusing the product. This is a Fresnel adapter that takes a point light source and projects a circle out of it. - Think of a lighthouse on the ocean. You must use this with a spot light/strobe. If you don't do this, you won't get the desired result. If you are using a horseshoe/donut lamp on your monolight, you will get this if you focus down. Some say it works better with a flash of light, well, because it's a smaller point source. For all the naysayers take a look at the bulb on the broncolor fresnel flash, you can see it's a special tightly wound bulb, I'll give it a 3 for cheapness not function.
