I was able to easily remove the door light covers with the tool provided, for ceiling and map lights I recommend a smaller hook tool (a wrench will do) to remove the covers from the centre. Be careful as there are very small plastic tabs that can break. The charge lights required a Phillips screw to be undone and the license plate light popped out along with the black housing, pulling the housing back and pushing out the front first. The vanity mirror light can be easily removed with a small flathead screwdriver. All in all, the installation took less than 30 minutes. About half of the light sources are polarity insensitive and the other half are polarity sensitive; Just turn off the bulb if it doesn't light up immediately. Very satisfied with the light output and the ease of installation. The original lamps lasted 13 years, let's see how long these last.
