Doesn't stick like I'd like

I wanted to use this as an extra seal for my Jeep doors. It didn't stick well to the door frame. In some places (plastic) didn't stick at all. With others (metal) it will stick, but after a lot of encouragement. Where he stuck, he let no water through. I would not buy it again for this application.
